Hebrew language translation and interpreting service
Hebrew has been referred to by Jews, since ancient times, as Leshon Hakodesh (לָשׁוֹן הַקֹּדֶשׁ) “the Holy Tongue”. Hebrew, the language of Israelites and their ancestors, is native to Israel and is believed to be spoken by over 9-million people worldwide, of whom over 5-million speakers reside in Israel. After Israel, the United States of America is believed to have the second largest fluent-speaking Hebrew population.
Hebrew became an official language of British Palestine in 1922; today, it is the official language of the State of Israel. Hebrew is the language of most newspapers, books, magazines, radio, and television and is used for official, public and private purposes throughout Israel, with the exception of the Arab sector, where the Arabic language is used.
Made up of 22 letters, the Hebrew ‘Aleph-Beit’ is written from right-to-left and each letter is said to have a spiritual significance.
